Why Founders Should Start a Podcast

Founders need a new way to market.

Yes, you as a founder should launch your own podcast. I know it sounds crazy but hear me out. Podcasts are the best content format available right now. You can record one episode and get a week’s worth of content to post. How easy would it be to market your startup with long form and short form content? Imagine if you could post everyday, engage with your prospects and generate leads on autopilot?

Well I recorded an episode and YouTube video to show you exactly what it would take. But here are some more examples.

Y Combinator

The biggest startup factory in the world is making content consistently. If Michael Seibel can sit down and produce some quality content, I’m sure you could find the time. Y Combinator has an incredible collection of podcast episodes and YouTube videos. THey even do roundtable episodes where founders and experts come together to discuss trending topics and have insightful discussions.

Y Combinator creates this content to help the founders they want to work with. I’m sure if you surveyed some of the founders who have worked with them, the content why share has been part of their journey to YC.

Analyzing the Hubspot Podcast Network

Hubspot is one of the biggest and most profitable software companies in the world. They help agencies and businesses manage everything from marketing to sales and everything in between. Hubspot now has their own podcast network. They currently have a total of 41 shows including podcasts like My First Million, Creators are Brands and Business Made Simple.

This is just another example of podcasts that have infiltrated every area of business. Some of the biggest companies and best founders have their own show and release content nonstop.
